Well we aren't young, but my wife hates dressers. She would rather ride on a softail any day. We rent one every few years and nope, still don't like em. Like twisted said, we're getting older...hmm I think I'll get a big top heavy bike to try and muscle around. Plus no way I'd try and get a dresser to some of the places my softail goes.

I don't like a motorcycle with a dashboard. Sure, the electronics and touch screen and stereo are fun to look at in the showroom, but I would never ride one. All that crap takes away from the real reason why I ride. If I wanted all that junk I'd get a convertible 911.

I love my Wide Glide. It's set up where I can have the windshield, bags, back rest and passenger seat off of it very quickly.

I like the forward controls but I also have knee issues so I added a set of mid pegs for extra foot position on longer rides.

My passenger seat does suck though, make sure you find a comfy one for your wife. Mine is like a leather covered brick but since the only thing that is ever really on it is luggage, it'll do.

Yup, looking for a 98 Wide Glide, last year of the EVO and the newer controls and such.

I would still have my 2000 Wide Glide, if nor for this Stop Sign runner
I caved the windshield post in two inches with my helmet

I have a detachable windshield. For what ever reason I decided not to take it on this trip. One of the biggest reason's of not moving to a non-RK bagger - I like the option of having the wind in my face.
