In the US factories that I worked at before moving to Europe, about 50% of the employees were illegal immigrants. That was about 15 years ago. I suspect those numbers are around 80% now.

So what is the lesser of two evils?

I do find it "funny" that the OP wants it not to be made in China, but bought something that he thought was not made in the US. OP thought it was made in Canada.
The last time I looked, Canada wasn't communist nor do they use slave labor. Nothing wrong with not wanting to buy their junk in my opinion.

I absolutely hate that a communist country owns us. I think ever who profited from china owning us should be stood up in front of a firing squad. the free trade act or whatever you want to call it has runt the south.
Seriously, dude. You are a whiney little *****. Sorry about the South getting "runt". But that's the least of your problems. The helmet "fits",but that isn't important, showing you've got a gash, instead of a swinging pair,is. Maybe you can find a nice little designer boutique to get some lovely accessories, like stockings and heels,to match the helmet. (sarcasm left on)

You all want American products but do not want to pay. I sell American made wiring harness. I am a dealer on a traditional hot rod forum. They fall over themselves to claim they only buy american. Then when someone askswhat wiring harness to buy, they would all tell him to buy the chinese made one, made with vinyl wiring. Horrible fuse panel and quality.
That would save them about $55 instead of buying the American made harness I am selling that uses the oil and heat resistant wiring, top quality fuse panel and includes a headlight and dimmer switch.
You all want american but you do not want to pay
I started the business only selling the American made parts I could get. Guess what, I am doing great.
I love the ak88

Buying from China keeps their aggression towards the US at a minimum since our economies are linked.

Buy USA if you can, don't beat yourself up if you can't. Enjoy living in a free country that embraces capitalism.
