Default Stuck on Front Wheel Chock

I recently purchased a front wheel chock for my 2007 Electra Glide Standard. It wasn't overly expensive and I picked it up at Harbor Freight and it works fine and I'm very satisfied with it UNTIL I have to back the bike off the chock. It takes someone who is into body building or I need another person to help me back off this thing. I can't just pull back on the handlebars and pull I have to pull UP on the handlebars as I push the bike back but it will not budge. Am I missing something or is this common to this type of setup? HELP!!!!

did you try moving the flip part to the lower hole?
I have the harbor freight one also and it was a bear, I moved mine down and its easier now.

Agreed the Harbor Freight usually comes with the bolt in the top holes. Try it in the lower hole.

The one I have allows you to move the flip part forward and back but not up and down. I have it as far back as it can go. there is a bar that goes through one side of the frame through the flip part and through the other side of the frame. When the wheel is in there the bar that goes through rests just behind the tire. Then you want to back off you have to pull the tire over the bar which is why it is so difficult to do.

ok I have looked at the harbor freight site and see the one you have, it does look like it would be hard to back out of.

It usually takes me several yanks to get my road king over the hump as well. I kinda rock it forward, pull it back as far as I can, grab the front brake to hold it, brace myself, then give it another good jerk. Being 5'9 doesn't help much.

I have a Condor Pit Stop and for some reason there are times it too doesn't want to let the bike go, but not too often.

Perhaps you could put a piece of plywood under where the wheel sets in so that the wheel doesn't get wedged in so far. Just make sure it's still stable before you leave it alone.

I believe that I have the same one you're talking about. I did have to learn to push the front forks down several times (rock it) and then give it a good pull back to get it off the chock. Sucks, but I didn't know about it until after I got it.

I have the H-D chock and I am also short. I have yet to get it off without help. I just put a ez-up center stand on mine and that's all I use now.
