This is exactly what I did. My only problem was I was unable to locate metric bolts long enough so I used SAE 1/2" and had to drill out all the holes. Works well.

It works fine under my Dyna glide without any modifications. Put a piece of 2x4 under the jiffy stand to bring the bike closer to upright and slide the jack under the bike with the front pad close to the jiffy stand. Put a 20 inch piece of 2x4 on the front pad, and a six inch long piece of 2x4 on the rear pad under the left frame member. Jacks the bike up straight, level and balanced every time. No modifications needed.

Draining fluids can be messy as the jack gets in the way of placing drain pans.

Why are you draining the fluids with the bike on the jack?

Aside from the potential mess, is there a reason I shouldn't be doing this?

They actually drain better on the jiffy stand. As long as you can get your drain pan under the bike. If not you can always useca turkey pan, cheap aluminum one, to catch the oil.

On my Limited, I can drain the fluids on the jiffy stand or with the bike fully vertical, doesn't matter. I prefer to use the jack, as it is easier to access everything. Plus my bike needs to be upright to fully fill the primary.
My jack has a sheet metal insert that guides the fluid to the drain pan.

That's pretty clever. Good idea.

I got the same jack....going on 3 years with it, picked it up for 50something bucks with some super promo...plus a free flashlight, plus something else.

My Shovel spends its winters up on it....works plenty fine. Yeah I'm a big promotor of "By US Made"....and I do when I can. But I simply cannot afford a several hundred dollar floor jack, and this *****er made one works just fine.

I'm smart enough to have figured out how to use the "lock" on it....it's really quite simple and effective, so I have zero worries about the jack leaking down. Like I said..bike is up on it ALL WINTER.
