What effect would Low Leaded Fuel have on late model (Twin Cam 88 & 96) injected engines? At one time I used 100LL aviation fuel in my carburated EVO's with out any problems, man what a kick!. That was well before ECM's and tight emmission standards. I wouldn't try it today, just curious to what those in the know (engines) think.

If you actually were able to find leaded fuel, they clog catalytic converters. Other than that no problems.Vehicles that ran leaded even ran cooler. Lead acted as a piston ring lubricant, which created less friction, wear and heat. However, technology in the making of rings, blocks etc has surpassed what the leaddid in the past.
Even the CAM2 and TRUE BLUE are made as unleaded today.
