Some people only ride a few miles at a time. There are those that travel on multi-thousand mile trips in hot weather. For those people they need to be hydrated. Whenever I travel I don't want to dehydrate.

I also use GPS.

Another vote for Kruzer Kaddy.

And, for the record, mine is rock solid. No wiggles, no tilt, no dumping out the water bottle, no matter how tall it is. 20 ounces is no problem at all.

Of course, I did install it correctly...

Ok, ok, full disclosure: I bought mine around a year ago, and it came with a thin nylon shim thingy that goes behind the screw that mounts the cup holder to the handlebar bracket. Holds it snug as hell. If you have an older model, maybe it didn't come with it. So, you get a pass.

When I bought my "spare" bike this fall it had pretty much just one accessory on it. My favorite style cup-holder, Barefoot Wiilies!

Been happy ever since.

Had my Kruzer Kady for over 5 years and the finish still looks new. Never had an issue keeping it in place. You have to use the right washers in the right place. I position it on the left side to that when my forks are locked it covers my gas cap.

The spacer included in the hardware is round one one end and slotted on one end. Install it so the slotted end goes into the slot on the holder and no more tilt.

me personally, I don't ride anywhere in the summertime without a drink on my handlebars, except maybe to work and back. but if it's any kind of 'joy' ride, I have a double wall insulated cup that fits perfect in my barefoot ******* cup holder. by the time I need to stop for gas, the ice is almost melted and there's a little water left. I just top off the ice, and between the leftover water and the melting ice, I've got cool water to stay hydrated with.

just because you don't think there should be cupholders on bikes, why don't you try letting other people do what they want to do? what someone else chooses to do with their bike, what's it to you?

and just for the record, I enjoy my music, my cupholder, my windblocking fairing lowers, my windshield, my daymaker headlights, and my tourpack/backrest (on trips). omg, I must be a poser and not a real biker! oh the horror.....
Lighten up Francis, I guess reading comprehension isn't your thing. The first thing I said was "It's nothing to me if someone mounts a cup holder on their bike". Meaning I have no problem with it if that's what you choose to do.

Where do you get the bullshit you posted (I put it in bold) out of my statement? Nowhere did I say someone else shouldn't have one or need one.

My statement was in response to Baka's post that suggested the people who don't need them only rides from bar to bar. I find that as ridiculous as he would if I had said "You need a tour bike if you plan to ride 600-800 miles a day. Sportsters are for people who only ride from bar to bar." BTW, I have no problems with Sportsters, only trying to make a point.

I ride in 90*+ temperatures every summer from about mid June to mid August and sometimes I ride 10-12 hour days on my Road King or Ultra Classic (not that it matters what bike) and I have never needed a drink between stops.

So to put your question back to you, let me remove the word "don't" and you can tell me why you are so butt hurt that I don't have cup holders on my bike?

maybe I took it a little harsher than intended, and maybe I came across a little harsher than intended, but your thread was just lumped in there with all the 'real bikes don't have windshields', 'real bikes don't have stereos', etc. posts.

fact is, I don't care if you don't have a cupholder. but, I also hope that you never experience dehydration while you're out on the road. it can be a bitch. btdt.
