Well it's almost here, Sturgis 2015 the big 75th anniversary party! Well for those of us who have been on a down yr with 220,000 people it was still great riding in the Black Hills. And in 2007 when the attendance hit 360,000 people it was tough not bumping others as well as scooting your bike down Lazelle at and Praying your bike didn't over heat! Well the South Dakota Dept of Transportation has finished with there pre Sturgis camp ground and hotel count. This is a fairly accurate method they stated. All hotels in a 150 mile radius are sold out and all camp grounds all the way down to Hill City are 100% capacity. The numbers are between 800,000 - 1.2 Million people are expected to attend this yrs rally. That's insane! If you can get into a bar it will be 10 people deep! Parking will be 2 miles to main st!
800,000-1.2 million estimated to attend

Exactly why I'm sitting out this year. Traffic brings me down. Next year will be more sane because all the "one last hurrah" yahoos will likely choose to make the 75th their last.
People are funny, Like this couple we know. Last year they said they weren't going because they wanted to wait for the 75th. So this year, they aren't going because of the crowds.
