Am I missing something here? They know they can't do it for 2 weeks, but you're still taking your bike there on Monday? I'm not sure, but if you're telling us it's because you are up to the 1000 miles and can't ride it past that, that's not the case, they will allow you to be over the 1000.

There's got to be a dealer within 100 miles that would take service your bike if your local dealer wont.
InMarch, I called a week in advance to book the appointment on a saturday morning. Waited for three hours, had a free bowl of chili (the dealer and localfire department had a cook-off).The next day I tore the stock exhaust off and installed my Big Shots!
I learned long ago to do my own maintenance on all my bikes. Keep a log of when, what and mileage. It looks good if you want to sell your bike down the road as well.
Why get mad at the dealer? He's right, many people have service done in the spring. Like others have said, do it yourself or wait. That's just the way it is.
