H-D Clothes
I noticed today that the tags on both of the shirts that they were made in the USA.
I checked the tags on some of my H-D shirts that I have purchased here in the US and all of them are made outside of the US from various places.
Just thought that was interesting.
Could it be a marketing thing? "American Legend" I guess the overseas market would demand it be made in the US.
So in other words if England does not require Harley Davidson to say where it was made, then it is in their best interest to say "Made in the USA". The only other explanation is that it was very old stock, back when the stuff was actually made here.....but I doubt it. The only thing I know for sure, is that none of the clothing is made in the U.S. anymore, everything comes from China now.
We do have to follow the same guidelines as those in the U.S.A. and Canadain that if an item is made inChina, you cannot market it with a tag proclaiming it was made elsewhere.I've always found it perplexing though, that a jacket that has the label 'Harley Davidson Motorclothes An American Legend' should also have a tag 'Made in China' below it as it is in my experience both American and European leathers are of a far superior quality. I personally would rather pay extra for a quality product that gives more protection in the event of the unthinkable.
All of my Harley shirts are made in the U.S.A. too (Oxford,England). If the MoCo can make a profit in England selling shirts made in the U.S.A.,then surely they could make more of a profit selling home made shirts in the U.S.A.than importing them from foreign shores. I'm confused!

The t-shirts that have the dealers name printed on them, have nothing to do with Harley,MOCO sells their name to a number of companies that then print the dealer t-shirts. The sales reps that come around to see us, do not work for Harley. So yes, I suppose they could be "Made in the USA". I've never looked at my t-shirts to see what they say. A couple of these manufacturers are now using Hanes Beefy T's, so if Hanes (as an example) is U.S made then it would make sense.
