I cant get ahold of Jaime at FuelMoto til Monday, so wondering if anyone here can answer a question ref PCIII map downloads for my bike.
I found a nearly-perfect map onthe PowerCommandersite.... The only difference is my bike has 10.25:1 compression and this map does not specify the higher compression - so I guess maybe it means stock compression with the 95" kit and my 211 SE cams. Is this going to make any difference?
A second near-perfect map has "RevExtender" enabled on it... What's this? Not sure if my bike has that or not. Is it a setting in the stock ECM or something else?
I plan to DynoTune it soon enough but for now I have to go with the map downloads available.
the revextender increases the rev limit on your bike. I forget what stock is, but it bumps it up another 1000rpms I think. If you never got a map from HD for the ECM, you are running your stock rev limit.
As far as the map is concerned, download it and give it a try. I would'nt put 1000 miles on it, but you should be able to take it out for a spin.. assuming you don't get a lot of snap crackle pop
It had a map downloaded by H-D for the ECMwhen the 95" kit was done (of course with cams, 10.25:1, etc - itwas all done by the dealer), so I wonder if this would include such a rev-extender in the map they downloaded with the rebuild?
I just put this PCIII in, so that's a new component since the build.
