I have a wide glide front end on my 97 fatboy. I was running fender-less, but got tired of the rain and small stones in the face. I Recently bought a used fron t fender, but would like to trim the tip of it back a little .... looks a little long to me. I know the dyna's look like they are shorter from the fork to the tip of the fender. Does anyone know that distance in inches ? I don't want to cut it back too far and end up with water in my face again. Thanks, doug
Hey Doug I might be able to help a little, but not sure,
but first things first Welcome to the HDForum from central
Texas. Now I had a 2000 Wide Glide and I put a heritage
front wheel and tire on it and covered it up with a fat boy
front fender it worked great. are you running the Fat Boy
tire or the Wide Glide tire I might even be able to help you
out with a Wide Glide fender
Go to a dealer and look at the Dyna or non bagger lines with the narrower tires and get an idea of the minimum length that way, too short and it will throw it up at speed
