Rain Gear
They pack down very nicely so I keep both in a single saddlebag all the time. One tip I'll pass along is this: if you both get the same color, tie a ribbon or some other marker on one of the bags so you can quickly distinguish his and hers.
We're very happy with the Hi-Vis suits.

I have been very happy with it.
It is very easy to put on - the pants have zippers so you can put it on while wearing boots.
Another good feature is the legs have fabric where the pipes would touch to prevent melting.
The suit keeps you bone dry and is easy to put on.
Its a little pricey but "you get what you pay for" in this instance.
I bought a set of Olympia Horizon gear (approx $150). Used it a couple weeks ago on an 11 day ride through MD, WV, PA, OH, MI, IN, IL, KY, and VA. The first 2 and last 2 days were in that crappy weather that drowned parts of the midwest. Lots of rain and wind. That Olympia gear kept me completely dry! It also breathes really well, so I never got hot/clammy in it - even on the day it was 90*.
I wear a 3/4 helmet, and my chest didnt get wet, because is closes up tight (without choking me); and it has a beard flap that helps seal things up.
My only complaint is the leg fasteners. They used velcro, and at 50-55 mph, it held just fine; but on the interstate at 65+ the legs would occasionally come unfastened and flap around in the wind. I also wear rain boots, so I still didnt get wet, but the flapping was annoying. Simple fix with a longer strap of velcro, bungie cord, etc.
The hi-viz is very visible, it packs down pretty small into its own pockets. It is cheaper than the HD stuff that so many rave about and doesnt have the billboard across your back (if you care). No way the HD stuff will keep you dryer or cooler than the Olympia stuff.
