hello everyone my name is Krazy Kool NYer and I thought I would share this video with you. I recently visited Woodstock Harley Davidson and had the pleasure to meet Jean and Jon Davidson. Jean is the granddaughter of Walter Davidson and The family historian as well .
they were kind enough to give me a quick interview about the history of Harley Davidson and were the company is moving today please enjoy the video thank you
I just started reading her book so I can't make a full judgement yet. I was more honored in meeting them and a chance to interview them was even more special for me. mrs Davidson is part of the Harley Davidson legacy and that enough for me.
Sorry you didn't enjoy the book, but maybe her next book you may like.
Thank you for your response , ride safe!
Forgive the 4 post, this is my first time here and my computer keep freezing so I kept trying to repost it in a new location until I got it right.

Yes she is a very nice lady I enjoyed the conversation and she was very down to earth I didn't even know she was a teacher for children with special needs which made the conversation even more real.
I'd like to know how the Harley family side of the company got squeezed out of the business. Weren't they just as important to the success?. After all, nobody calls the bikes just "Davidsons."

Remember reading an article years ago which said that the last of the Harley line was a guy that worked on the shop floor surprisingly and was "let go " shortly after the buy out if I remember correctly and he became a postman, he and his wife still rode Harleys though, possibly given to them when he left.
