Shoulder surgery (Mumford procedure) recovery

Is your surgeon a shoulder specialist? Or general orthopedist. Reason I ask is my surgeon, only does shoulders advised me I was lucky the first surgery wasn't a mumford. He said that surgery always leads to severe arthritis early. Just a thought.

I've had that procedure done on both my shoulders and was riding within a few weeks. I still have pain there but certainly not as bad as before.

Hmmm. I planned on getting another MRI and another opinion before committing, but I will ask for a shoulder specialist. My current doc is a general orthopedic guy.

When you see see the nurses, ask them who they would go to for the procedure. They have inside knowledge of the Doc's. Ask anyone you know in the medical field for their opinion.
