Yeah I saw that one, if it's still there when the check comes in, I may look into it. But Portland Maine shipping!

20K will get you one that you'll need to dump another 30K into just to get it up and running. Maybe!

That'll get you a panhead maybe but nothing past the 50's in any kind of decent shape. Japan and Europe have sucked up the clean reasonable bikes.

Start digging into old clubs...there has to be some near you, I bet if you contacted the one in my area (New England)...see following links....you'll get good info.

Every years I ride up to this swap meet with a few buds.....some excellent goodies there to score, including TONS of old old OLD bikes.

Last weekend we just did this swap meet..

You get in contacts with some peeps there...they will likely have great contacts and resources for you over in your area.

Was that the starting listing price or the final auction price? $20K can get you something in the 60's (maybe 50's...depending on the condition and what bike). Most of the other older restored bikes are $30K+ now that I have seen.

What is incorrect from 1 riders input...

home made instrumental panel
RL or DL tanks
rebent bars
36 only carb
OHV aircleaner
sth wrong with ignition coil
incorrect headlite
incorrect seat
incorrect exhaust
DL/RL and abused shift gate
incorrect frame

just at first glance
sure there is more

bit overpriced for this condition

So it might be a good starting point for a "rider" at least if the price were lower
