Spend over $18,000.00 and buy a hydrostatic drive Ridley. They're written up in this month's American Iron. A whopping 750 cc's to boot and no shifting at all
I am reminded of a passage in Dave DeBusschere's biography of him riding in Bill Bradley's VW bug, which had no radio. Bradley's explanation was that he did not like to listen to the radio to which DeBusscher replied, you can always turn it off. Sorry for anyone who doesn't get the NY sports reference, but if 5 speeds is too much hassle, why not just use gears 1-4?
