the coins must be a marines thing more then army. we never seen them where I was. anyhow the point of them for Harley still escapes me. I have a few since I collect chips as well. I just think its another thing Harley can sell to you in the end.

Pretty much the reason I started this thread. I've never seen someone coin a Harley coin, nor do I think most people would understand the tradition so doing it would be pointless.

Might be fun to do with a group of friends who have coins, but to just randomly do it probably wouldn't be advised.

I have a "Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee" coin. I also have a 2 star coin. However, my go to coin and the one that I carry most often is my 5th RS coin. They are numbered and your number cooresponds to the ledger kept in the blackcat lounge. They don't sell member coins so the only way to get one is to be in the 5th RS.
