Default Extreme jealousy

As a rule I tend to think most people are compulsive liars I guess. Normally it because I just don't see how its possible.

To the main point... I read all the time how everyone rides 10k a year. I'm going to exclude everyone who lives in a state where it don't snow from this. Because I see it as a possibility in states it don't snow. BUT you people in the north. I have a bone to pick with you. I ride to work everyday. Unless I wake up and its raining. I have rode in the rain when leaving work so I'm not a fair weather rider. most mornings lately its about 45 out. I still ride to work, it is 90 miles round trip from the jobsite I'm working on now. when I have time on the weekends I go ride for hours. For the life of me I honestly don't know how you people ride 10k a year.

It makes me sick to my stomach I cannot do this for what ever reason. Obviously not all of you are retired.I know most of you are married because you say so. ill even relent the idea that most women are like my wife and could careless how far you ride and for how long you ride. ill even give you that a lot of you like myself have no children but I have dogs so that is a mute point I guess. but still I can ride by myself for 16 hrs if I want.

So either yall are compulsive liars, lazy as sh&t and have people to do work around your house. or have no job and are on the Harley welfare plan. HOW IN THE HELL DO YOU DO IT ? this has been driving me nuts and yes I'm EXTREMELY JEALOUS. So I'm gonna take my a$$ back outside and start cutting brick for my storage space beside my shed again. I hope you people get rained on or take a giant bug to the forehead.

I'm not one of those of whom you speak. I used to get about four thousand a year on my bike, it's gone down the last few years a little. But, I don't ride that much, typically take one trip or so a year and that's only about a thousand miles. My point is even though I don't ride much really, I get three to four thosand miles a year on my bike. So, ten thousand seems fairly reasonable to me, if one took a couple trips a year plus daily riding. Ride more, worry less, lol.

LOL - the snow don't stop a lot of us from riding . . . only slows us down for a couple of months!!

It was about 11,000 for me over the last year. But, when you throw in a couple of big trips, it's really not that much. A Sturgis round trip, and a Daytona round trip. Some other trips here and there, too. But then, I'm on the road for work for half of the time, too.

Eh, I don't know . . . it's just miles.

ride to work, ride to the gym, ride to the grocery story. The only time my truck moves during riding season is because of my daughter or the hardware store.

Well, as I see it, it's just another thread about if 'I' can't do it than 'I' don't see how anybody else can. I live in the PNW where we have a variety of weather. Yea I am retired but I also have other things that I like to do so I only ride part of the time. There are still a few months left that I can ride and I still have over 10k on my bike. Even when I was working, I managed to put on miles. To those of us that like to ride, putting on the miles ain't no big deal. Matter of fact, back in '11 I went to Sturgis and by the end of the year, I had almost 20k and I was also working then too.

I rode nearly 33,000 miles in 2014. So far, I have around 24,000 miles this year, since January 1st. My secret is a long commute. 58 miles each way means nearly 30k per year just riding back and forth to work. With heated gear, I'm able to ride year round in Alabama. Usually only take the car if it's below 20 deg, or if snow or ice is present on the road (not very often!)

I don't think so at all, man! I think he was being HUMOROUS! That's how I took it, at least. I saw it as him being funny as Hell. I know I cracked up! I really don't think it's anything to get bent out of shape about.

Maybe the OP can confirm or deny this?

Possibly so, and if so than I took it wrong. I guess I still am feeling the effects of yesterday when I did my Memorial ride for my son that was KIA, so no offense meant.
