Key FOB programming

So I bought a 2011 Wide Glide from an insurance auction. Bike had a bit of damage that was easily fixed. The bike did not come with the key FOB. So after ordering the part from Dealer they told me once it came in that it could only be programmed by them. IS there any other options to have this done? I am over an hour from the dealer and would have to rent a trailer to get the bike there casue I have a short box truck. Any help would be great..

Security light is blinking so this route will not work apparently..

I am almost certain you need to bring it to the dealer with proof of ownership. How secure would it be if someone with access to your bike could just buy a remote and program it for your bike if you left it unlocked?

This is for the remotes with buttons, the only way to get a FOB programed is to take it to the dealer. Some will charge you to do it, some will do it for nothing. They may ask for proof of ownership so be prepared.
