I fell in love with Black Quartz and bought a new Road Glide Special because of it. Love the bike and now and freezing my nuts off trying to get it broke in. Road today and ended up in freezing fog at 28degrees.
How are you freezing? That bike puts Out some serious heat on the seat.
Got my colors confused - I thought you were asking about the Hard Candy Black Gold Flake...THAT is a color I couldn't take on a touring bike. And this is coming from a guy with a Hard Candy Gold Dyna.
But that Quartz Black is the **** - it's a great color, IMO.
No heated seat, no lowers, wearing jeans long johns and chaps. Figure the wind chill at 60 and you CAN freeze your nuts!
What's your point here ?.
No heated seat and chaps for me. However, I've got heated grips, lowers, wear jeans, long johns, never rode in wind chill at 60 and never froze my nuts.
Again, What's your point here ?. Does it have something to do with the color of Black Quartz ?.

Indeed I have seen it. It has a nice mellow metal flake in it that looks a little golden in the sun. It also possesses strange mystical powers that induce the people looking at it to buy the motorcycle.
I stopped by a dealership to use the men's room on Sunday riding in on my 08 street glide. I left owning a 2016 Road Glide Special in Black Quartz.
Go gaze upon it, but be warned. Do not stare too long.

I accidently replied to your post. If you look at the post above I was responding to the guy that said "how can you get cold , that seat puts out some serious heat". I'm riding a Road Glide, not an Ultra (no heated seat). My original post was I love the color and am trying to get some miles on the bike but froze my *** of trying last Sunday.
