If the numbers are there they will keep the 750 to continue to compete in that class. I have yet to ride one and I should so I can speak from experience.

I agree here in the states sales wise it is a dud, there are some markets overseas that they sell the 500 but not the 750. I can only guess why but I bet there are tax reasons there that tax higher the cc. if this is the case I'm sure they will keep it. if you go to the Harley site for Australia you will see this.

I have spent a weekend on a street 500 and was pleasantly surprised how well it handled my extra weight.

Good grief.
That's like telling a 16 year old driver, "Don't get a Civic, you'll outgrow it in 3 months. Get a Vette..."

See how silly that sounds? Well, same thing.

Put her back on a smaller/lighter bike until she gets comfortable. Maybe have her take a BRT (Basic Rider Training) class if she hasn't already. Or, have her take the "advanced" course. Then, it's PLP time! Point is, get her on a bike often, so her skills don't diminish further. Have her take a look here: www.beginnerbikers.org for helpful hints/insight.

India and Australia only have the 500. At least in Australia, you have to have 3 years (I believe) experience before you can go above 600 cc.

I agree with the 750 being a full size bike. Not everyone is going to travel on their bike or at the very least spend a full tank of gas in one shot most of the time riding them. I also no this is going to ruffle some feathers so sorry up front. There's a lot of people riding bikes that are the wrong fit for them. They can't even park because they get stuck and can't move without help. I don't know about the rest of you but that would take the fun out of something that should be part of riding. Not the only thing on your mind the hole time in between stops. If you park 1/2 a block away from the parking lot so you can get out you might have to big of a bike. Just saying

the more i look at pictures of these bikes, having an old school eye for things, and haveing ridden my share of rice burners (i was going to say metrics but i am fed up with PC) i must say i do not like the looks of these bikes they have an off shore design look to them especially with that silly ineffective cafe faring. why did willie g retire?

not saying they are bad bikes just i like the old school look much better.
