, it saved my *** a couple of times, once when I was out in the toolies miles away from any services or help. I swear by it. My Indy at first didn`t like it because he thought it would be messy when changing my tires. He changed his tune when he saw it stayed in the center of the tire and away from the rim. Now he recommends it to his other customers.
I run it in my ultra tires. Will never own a bike without tubeless rims
Look at the tire when you replace it. It will not even be on the rim. It turns to a gel coating on your tire
well, just to throw one other thing in the works. if you use it, it will void the Dunlop warranty on your tire.
if you like it, use it. just be aware.
Our local HD Dealer (Dunlop Dealer), has Ride-On in bulk which he routinely offers to customers having tires changed at the Dealership. He must be warrantying the Dunlops he sells on his own. Given the rarity of warrantied tire replacements, which are largely illusory owing to those generous tread ware adjustments applied against full retail pricing , it wouldn't surprise me at all if that were the case. I expect his profits on the Ride-On would way more than offset that small risk on his part,,, good business. Dunno, just sayin.
I just changed my front tire on my SG. I added Ride on for the first time. The previous tire had dyna beads that worked great! But after see the video of the bike riding over nails with the ride on I was sold. I just took the bike out yesterday for the 1st time for about 10 miles to coat the tire.
Anyone have experience putting this into tires with inner tubes? The website says it's fine but I'm curious about how it would really work in an inner tube.
So the dealers who sell the Nitrogen upgrade (BS) just voided a tire warranty????
by the wording of the warranty, it looks like it. however, how is Dunlop going to prove that there is nitrogen vs air in the tire? it isn't like nitro leaves any evidence behind.
i'm just pointing out that clause in the Dunlop warranty. I am not advocating for or against ride-on. but just be aware that there could be ramifications to your actions.
and to HKMark23, while warranty exchanges may be 'rare', they do happen. I've personally done it.
Ride on can be washed out of the tire. So Warranty should not be an issue. Lets just say that a tire is being replaced on Warranty? The value is what $200 max? Whats the cost of a tow truck ride with a flat in the middle of nowhere?

What's wrong with tubed tires/rims?

Works well for me.
I haven't had to test it's puncture function but it differently balances the wheels.
I pulled all my wheel weights off.
