Sena SMH 10C user. Love it. When it's coupled with my smartphone I get:
-bluetooth intercom for other riders e.g. wife/friends,
-turn by turn navigation ,
-music both saved and streamed
-FM radio.
-make & receive phone calls,
-take photos and videos
***ps it has a special mode where the camera is always monitoring but not saving until I press the button. When the button is depressed it then saves to memory the previous minute and the next two minutes. This is great for funny stuff on the road or worse e.g. a wreck/insurance claims.

I am also under the impression that the camera cools down other drivers' road rage. No one wants to make youtube.

Here's a pic I took with the 10C from this past weekend. It's not SLR quality but to always have the ability to take a photo or video everytime I'm on the scoot is awesome.

No but a former friend had one and all you could hear from him was wind noise and an unintelligible voice, plenty of volume though.

I actually ended up with a pair of the units, and have tried both units and replacement speakers, so it's definitely low volume by design. I've tried both with and without earplugs, but the unit is barely audible. As a result, it doesn't work as an intercom at all, can't use it to talk on the phone, or listen to music. So the only reason I have it is so that I know my GPS has said *something*. Then I have to resort to looking at the screen to see what exactly it was trying to tell me.

You need a SMH10. Mine couples with my cell phone(ITunes), GPS, and HK radio stereo on the bike, and is plenty loud.
This. You need a Sena SMH10. I have the SPH10-FM which is the half helmet version and have been using it for over 2 years now. It's great! Music is loud and clear, and I can be talking on the phone whilst doing 60 mph down the road and the other end doesn't even know I'm on the bike. The mic is that good. Now, I don't talk on the phone often while riding, but I have before and it's good to have if you ever need it.

I had a set of speakers installed in my helmet and ran a cord up from my phone which I kept in my inside breast pocket. It worked well but I could not change music, take calls or use GPS. All I could do is adjust the volume with a wheel in the cord by my neck.
I decided to upgrade this year and have installed a Biker Gripper cell phone holder on my bars so I can display engine sensors from my FP-3 or have Google maps GPS there. I just ordered a Sena 20S to mount on my helmet so I will no longer have a cord to deal with and it gives me many more options.

I used these speakers:

UClear HDS10 High Definition Speakers (Compatible with iPhone and Android OS): Amazon.ca: Cell Phones & Accessories UClear HDS10 High Definition Speakers (Compatible with iPhone and Android OS): Amazon.ca: Cell Phones & Accessories

and this cord:

Koss VC20 Volume Control: Amazon.ca: Electronics Koss VC20 Volume Control: Amazon.ca: Electronics

I installed them in my helmet myself, not much to it. The sound was actually not too bad. I can hear the music good up to 70 mph with ear plugs in my ears and then above that it starts to degrade as my exhaust is on the loud side. I had the cord from the speakers coming out of the helmet on the left side through the pad on the chin strap. This way when I wasn't using them all that was there was the plug which I could tuck out of the way. When I used the speakers I would plug them into the Koss volume control which has a spring clip on it that I attached to my collar. Then I ran the cord down inside my jacket to the phone in my pocket.

Well finally got the SENA SMH10R and wired it up in my helmet (HJC IS-16). Once I fine tuned the speaker mounting all I can say is this is awesome. The main use for this will be listening to mp3 and GPS for long trips. I didn't even plug in the microphone because I have no desire to try take phone calls while I'm riding. For that I'll pull over.

Getting it installed in the helmet took about half an hour. I used the supplied velcro to attach the little unit to the left side. Sound quality is clear with sufficient volume for me to hear the GPS and still hear the road sounds from inside the helmet.

highly recommended.

I have a Scala Rider pair. I use them when I cut the grass or work around the house and dont want my phone hanging off my belt.

I have speakers on my ride.
