...as of this morning in my driveway while all the neighborhood kids were waiting for the school bus [>:]. At least when you do it in front of other riders there maybe some help and words of consolation. Rotten kids just point and laugh!

Where do I pick up my membership pin?

That happened to me too but at my ladies daughters house the first time I was there.. We were fixing to go for a ride and I was turning the bike around on gravel and my right foot reached the only stone that was not dug in and off it goes rolling away from under my foot and here I go.. You would have thought that I was being part of a sling shot.. I never thought that I could fly that far. Nothing wrong with the bike but just the fact that it took three of us to get it up and the granddaughter goes running in the house hollaring that I have fallen down.. So everyone had to go look.. Talk about turning red... But all is well and I do not park in the drive anymore...

Dropped mine 3 times. twice with the wife and luggage, once in the ride like a pro class.
I am getting use to the red face. Hell I even tried a real tight U turn on my wifes 1200L and dropped it.
My new theroy is screw um pick it up and get out of there.

I'll never forget piling a suzuki I had right around the corner from the Rock Store when I had just gotten it. On a sunday morning or course. When I picked the bike back up with one bar a foot higher than the other there was no mistaking I was the one who piled. Everyone was asking me if I was okay, but I was just so embarrased I wanted to hide my head. I rode the bike back to my buddies house and we fixed it up and I ordered some different bars. The new bars were a lot more comfortable. That was the last time I did anything that was "beyond my level" as the guys I was riding with had all been riding for about 20 years, and I had been riding for about 1.

::raises hand:: It's a rite of passage. Either we've all been there or will beeventually.

5'2" and 125lbs. vs. 700+lb bike. Which do you think wins the battle with gravity?

As a Harley rider of 15 years once told me, it usually sneaks up on you too. So always expect the unexpected.
