Bought a Earth X Battery for my 2012 1200 Sportster, 5 Months later it went dead. Would not charge using their charger. They sent a replacement. 2 weeks later died again, 0.0 volts. Also left it disconnected for those 2 weeks. Still wouldn't charge. Using their charger. They told me to send it back (me paying postage) If I did not misuse it they would replace it. Put 4 year old Harley Battery back in,no problems. WOULD NOT USE EARTH X AGAIN. Paid $ 259.00 for it. Harleys Battery been in for a month and is 4 years old.
American Iron Magazine did an article on the various types of batteries and found that overall performance any AGM battery was the best choice.
I find that with a tender used as intended which is unplug when you leave the garage and replug upon returning has yielded 9 years and beyond for me. I have 19 bikes on tenders and 2 cages.
Lithium technology is the future and I'll all for using one if I have a backup.
I have 4 of them for my cordless tools and love them.
However I think the technology is still not quite there for me to rely on it by itself.
I'll stick with traditional AGM batteries for now for my vehicles.

Never heard of that company.
Did you send it back, and did they replace it as promised?
As far as Lithium Batteries, I have been using Antigravity Batteries for several years in my bikes and they work great- http://antigravitybatteries.com/
They also make a great portable starter battery that makes jump starts obsolete. http://themicrostart.com/
As far as jumping a battery, I would rather bump start my bike than have a tow truck driver jump my bike and possiblly fry my electronics.
