I went by a buddys house to show him my new bars. He says oh man I could never ride a bike with my arms that high,my shoulder injury just wont let me.He rides a chopped out hard tail, with drag bars on a riser. I told him just sit on my bike an note where your hands an shoulders are, then sit on your bike an do the same.Of course his hands were higher on his chopper, closer together but higher. Sure was funny to see the dumb founded look on his face.Next time he complains bout that damn shoulder hes gonna get a punch square in it.

Lol, sounds like all the Dyna guys!
They can't bust me fast enough about my ape's, but they all have drag bars on two foot freakin risers!
A true head scratcher......
Clearly you have not read the threads.....
There is an amazing abunuance of input from people who have never owned, let alone ridden a motorcycle with apes, who give entirely opposite reviews. Jeez.
Try to keep up! Lol. 😄
I ride a 2001 FLSTF with 16" Burly gorilla apes and they are wicked comfortable to ride with. I am 6'4" and these bars give me the most comfortable riding position I have ever had.
I also ride a badboy and it has factory bars and shoulders are aching well before they ever would with the apes
I love the apes on this CVO. Better control, feels very comfortable. I had someone say to me he liked the bike but didn't like the handlebars. He owns a Dacati street rocket, go figure.
