Did not intend to hijack thread, it's a 1942 that I bought from the Original owners son after he passed (rip) I was told his dad worked for GE at time of purchase and it remained with him until I bought it! Figured I had to do it justice and have it painted.
What about the guts? My dad has an old GE just like this but it costs a fortune to run it. I could certainly have it painted

Original guts and works better than my $3000 kitchen fridge. Did not notice a huge jump in electric bill but I live in AZ, and have a pool so bill is always different. The extremely cold beer is worth it!

You are right about the beer. It cools better than any new fridge.
