+1 on AAA.
I'll get a ride or tow no matter who I'm with or what I'm in or on!
Yep.
Last year my daughter drove down to Lincoln and got a flat tire. She couldn't get the tire off, so she was stuck.
Called my brother (who lives in Lincoln) and he came by to help. Couldn't get the tire off either.
He has AAA. Called them. Told them the story. The mere fact that he was there as a AAA member meant they would cover it. Tow truck came out. Driver couldn't get the tire off either. Ended up towing the car to a garage. Finally got the tire sorted.
I have AAA RV Plus. It will tow any type of vehicle besides a semi, up to 100 miles. ,,,
Saw in another thread recently that with AAA you do NOT need the RV upgrade for a motorcycle. But you do need the PLUS service for the 100 mile extended tow option.

That hasn't been my experience. It's possible that the tow operator did the AAA member that called for service a "favor" by writing up the tow as an automobile instead of a motorcycle. It's easy enough to verify. Just look at the membership benefits for your particular area where you signed up. For instance, the southern New England area offers the following benefit levels.
I have HOG and AMA . I think both were free with my membership. My friends 68 Vette blew a clutch last week while we were out in it. AMA towed us. They cover me, no matter what I'm driving or who it belongs too. Good to have a couple of options.
AAA Plus wont fix a flat on a motorcycle but, they would have certainly towed it somewhere that did. I love AAA. The savings at hotels pays for it.
You've got a pretty good deal in Texas with AAA! I was curious to see the differences in the two areas (Texas & NJ), and you've got us beat. For $83, your AAA Plus does cover RVs and motorcycles. That program isn't the same in NJ. IN NJ, AAA Plus only covers automobiles.
...I've been happy with the AAA service I've received...
+1 -- I've been a member since 2007, used the coverage a couple of times when the wife locked her keys in the car, once when she had a flat on the interstate, and once had a bike towed for a flat tire. Always pleased with the speed and quality of service so far!
I had a flat once with hog. I spent 7 hrs on the side of the road. they said they couldn't find anyone who could come and tow me. after about 3 hrs of trying the wife rode the 2 hrs home on her bike, and grabbed the truck and trailer and came and got me. didn't cancel at that time (since it was free) but damn sure didn't renew when it came up. have made sure that I have roadside coverage on my insurance since. fortunately, have never had another flat, but did have a dead battery once and progressive sent someone out to jump start me and get me on my way.

Sorry, but this is not true. Just got off the phone with AAA Membership Benefits. Basic AAA membership is just for cars and domestic trucks, and covers a tow in as direct route as possible to the nearest facility. Only AAA RV will come out for a bike, however. AAA Plus will tow whatever they cover up to 100 miles. Finally, AAA RV Plus will: tow anything, up to 100 miles, including motorcycles.
