You can set up a catch can or run a hose from oil ventilation. There are many different ways to do it and a lot of different styles of cans. Here's one example:
Reaper spits oil out of her air cleaner if I fill her tank to the "Full" mark on the dipstick. Halfway between "Add" and "Full", is the sweet spot for her.
i run 3 quartz 14 ozs. in mine after i change the oil. when cold it reads at the half way point, when hot it's one dot down from full. never had any oil blowing out anywhere. each set of dots on the dip stick is 2 ozs.
My rebuilt Evo engine dripped oil from the head breathers constantly. Turned out that a rocker box gasket had slipped out of position during assembly allowing oil from the rocker box to be drawn into the breather chamber in the corner of the rocker box. New "flapper" valves and new rocker box gaskets stopped it.
Just to be sure, I fold up 1/2 a paper towel and wedge it between the bottom of the air filter and the cover. Before re-gasketing the rocker boxes, I would have to change the paper towel every 200 miles. Now I might change it every 1000-2000 miles, and it's still nearly dry.
I never noticed less oil carryover from running the oil level low in my bike. The only thing running the oil low did for me was increase the oil temperature and the rate of oil consumption.
Did the oven cleaner work to get the oil spots off the chrome? I've got a few spots on my pipes, haven't figured out a good solution to get them off yet.
Best solution I have found, as well as others on this forum: 0000 steel wool & WD40. Polishes the pipes nicely, and gets baked on oil and boot rubber off easily. Make sure it is 0000 steel wool, and it won't scratch.

i've never had this problem with any of my bikes, but i've had friends that would put a kotex in the bottom of the air filter housing to soak up the oil. they would last along time and every womans rest room has a new one , if you need it.

So that's why some guys name their bike a girls name....
So, if the air cleaner is always drawing air in when the engine is running and oil tends to follow the air, is the bike smoking?
Since the breather ports are in the top end of the engine, how grossly overfilled does the engine have to be to back up oil in the heads.
I'd be looking for blockage in the breather system (intentional or otherwise), I do agree with the over saturated oil filter theory except, the oil would drip while parked and be drawn in while running.
