Default Tuning and o2 sensors (not wide vs narrow band thread)

Posted this in the tuning section, but not much traffic in there:

I'm still looking for dyno tuners in my area and I found a guy that seems to know his stuff and was recommended by a friend. He told me that he wants me to check to see if I have a second set of o2 bungs on my pipes, closer to the head, because if not, he wants to add 2 additional, wide band, sensors for the tuning process. He said that all four would be used. (I have the two stock narrow band sensors now)

Anyone heard of doing this? I thought it was one or the other, wide or narrow band, not both.

Anyone?

I may have remembered incorrectly on whether or not the second set of sensors were closer or farther from the head than the factory sensors in the pipes. He did mention that they would require 18mm bungs. I specifically asked if the sensors in the pipes now would be removed and capped off, but he said that he would utilize all 4 of them.

It sounds like he wants to use Wide Band O2 sensors to provide information to the Dyno during tuning.

They won't be left on the bike afterwards because your bike can't use them.

I do not believe that the Python Trowbacks have 18mm O2 bungs, which are close to the heads.

I have an 07 Softail Custom, that I bought new. When I was looking into a tuner, I was told you can replace the narrow bands for wide ones, not add another set of sensors. I am no expert, but it doesn't seem make sense to have both.
