Went out with the PGR last weekend to escort the final ride of a Marine. While on the route I noticed my right front flasher not working.
This morning before riding I remembered and went to fix it - simple enough. I pulled the bulb and both elements were intact. Grounded the bulb base and put 12V to each lug - both worked, so now I'm thinking switch, wiring, or pigtail. Tested the internals of the socket 12V on both, well that's good news. Contact cleaner in socket plugged the bulb back, no good. Changed bulbs and it works.
I know it's a very small issue but damn a bulb that works, but doesn't. That's why I hate electrical issues.
When I pull an Oreo apart and while trying to scrape the cream off with my teeth, that half breaks in two or crumbles. Nothing pisses me off more than THAT!

Turn signal bulbs work like this: yea, no, yea, no...... your switch must have been stuck in the "no" position.
Last year the parking lights on the right side of my car would flicker when turned on, and then go out. Front & rear parking lights, only on one side. Changed the bulbs, no help. What the heck?? It took a while to figure out, but the license plate bulb was on the same circuit. When I took that apart, I saw that when the car was built, a screw went through the wiring harness for the license plate. It worked fine for 3+ years, then eventually caused a short, and took the whole circuit down. Yeah, drove me crazy.
