These new engines are a single-cam design but have four-valve heads. The cam is chain-driven, presumably to keep the EPA happy about engine noise, and the valves are operated by a forked rocker.
Since it is now OK to talk about the new engine, aka the "Milwaukee 8", I thought it would be kind of interesting to try to come up with an alternative name for the beast in keeping with the flat/knuckle/pan/shovel themed power plants. I'll be first to admit we don't have much to go on (a few pictures from Revzilla), but the cylinder head structure is fairly clear in one picture what with the little bumps on top. So I'll go with that and consider them to be small "growths" protruding out of a flat surface. I'm thinking of human skin here so I'll start with these:
Mole Head
Pimple Head
Zit Head
Pin Head
Cancer Head (Naah, really bad choice)
Now, those names may be a bit pejorative, but what the heck, ya gotta start somewhere. :-) Clearly, I'm not very creative but I'll bet some of you folks out there are. Have at it, maybe we can establish a foundation for a name that sticks world wide!
I don't really care what it will be called but I hope it's a good runner, and that the people who buy them don't have to spend another Grand to get them to run right.

You see, you have to adjust your attitude!! Its not to make them right.... its to make them BETTER!! now we don't feel so bad when we drop 5k into a new motor, and have no way to justify it!! and just in case, its a safety issue!! When You need to pass that big truck on that one lane road, you need that "better engine" to pass safely!!!

It's a single cam design according to the source that posted the article on Revzilla.
Yeah it is but I can see Camel Toe sticking , interesting they are adapting some old shovel designs into it give the beast some character. Upper ends on the evo's and twinkies are so vanilla looking.
