Like others said it has to fit/feel right. Mellon's are different shapes. Mine is good in Shoie RF-1100 & now the GT-Air Inertia https://www.amazon.com/Shoei-GT-AIR-...E89ZKGX8BXTB6V
Great price mine was over $500 year ago.
I've been looking at the Simpson series. Riding with the Akoury is getting a little old and if you have to wear a helmet, might as well wear full face. I'm too pretty. The Simpsons are vented, several shapes for round, oral or long heads. Only drawback I see so far is no quick release on the lens. Several reviews on these on Youtube.
Your head your choice. I have been riding for decades and always use a FF. Currently a Shoei RF-1200. Pretty is as pretty does, and it flows a heck of a lot of air through those vents in the summer and has a great history or holding up in wrecks.
Built is the house brand for Cycle Gear, not Biltwell - Different animals.
Simpson currently has 5 different motorcycle helmets, but those pictured are auto racing helmets. Sure you can use them (auto helmets) but they typically have a reduced eyeport, which reduces peripheral vision.
Have always worn full face. Fit (head shape and sizing also) and venting are my two priorities. I currently wear an Arai Signet-Q, fit is long oval.
The "cool" looking helmets look like they would be HOTTTTTT, no vents at all.

I went through helmet phases depending on which bike I owned at the time, but I'm done with half helmets and cheapies. I'm wearing a Schuberth C3 modular and it's really nice. I'm waiting for the day that modulars / flip ups have the same venting and weight as a full face....
Mu buddy has gone through a slew of modulars. He currently has a Nolan N104 (really big and heavy) and the Kabuto (pretty damn nice helmet).
Check out this site as it's some of the best reviews available for helmets....
