I had the opposite situation...they put the poundage in the book says and I had to let some of the air out. 30 front and 35 rear.

I believe you're suppose to go by what the book says.

Dude - don't ever put helium in the front tire, it makes the front end loose.

Only put helium in the REAR tire, that way it lifts it up and you're always rolling downhill...

I'll take the opposite stand! That would be considered a HUGE safety issue in my books! Why a dealership wouldn't absolutely make sure that ALL the bikes rolling out of their shop were up to par AND SET UP CORRECTLY is beyond me. As well as being checked out, for real, before being released to the buyer every bike should be "fitted" to the buyer! That would include handle bar, hand levers AND feet peddles. I've never had a bike that I wouldn't set up to fit me personally!!

If you want something done right - the rule of thumb says to do it yourself....

Service technicians have to buy their own tools, and I guarantee you make much more money than they do.

My 2010 Goldwing had nearly an empty final drive when I checked it the day after delivery. WTF. Be careful folks and trust nobody! Check your bike out after delivery...it might save your life.
Did you ride it home from the dealer that way? Is there any evidence of cupping or uneven wear? I'd call the general manager and let him/her know about it. Maybe you should ride back there and compare their gauge to yours.
When I did the first fork oil change on my '04 Road King, one leg appeared to have motor oil in it while the other had what appeared to be light hydraulic fluid.
