They look like they have trouble enough just trying to walk and chew gum simultaneously. I'd give 'em the money price of the wash but tell 'em to just bounce around and spray each other with the hose and leave my bike alone.
My concern wouldn't really be them spraying water where it doesn't belong. It's a motorcycle for Christ's sake, it gets ridden in the rain and rained on. Last I checked, when it's a down pour, the clouds aren't being sure to not get any of the rain anywhere specific...

Finally..a second person that gets it and doesn't bite their fingernails at night worrying about (oh noze...)..a drop of water on the spotless garage queen!

I thought the same thing. What happens when you go on a trip for a week or so and it rains? Do people garage their bikes? What about when you're riding in the rain?
Maybe all those things are avoided when making trips to and from Starbucks and bike night...

For me its not so much about where they are spraying water, we all know that our bikes get wet in the rain or when we wash them ourselves. Obviously you don't want to direct a jet spray at the electronics but other than that water from a wash should not be a worry.
For me it is more about using a dirty rag/sponge when they are washing or accidentally dropping the rag on the ground picking it up dipping it in the bucket and rubbing it on the bike. Or the bike washed with the rag before me was a real oil spewer and they end up rubbing that same ole rag on my bike. The bike getting wet is not the real issue for me, scratching the paint/chrome with a dirty rag would tend to make me very unhappy
I I was there and it was a wash for charity I'd do as I always have before, pay the price for the wash or usually more to them for the charity cause and decline the wash
And there's a good reason for this! Don't want the paint scratched!!
(even if they were nekkid, no one washes my bike but me or the wife because she actually understands that water, seat and electronics do not like water. Maybe the wife will get naked and wash my bike... hmmm..... )
Nope.
They don't know crap about where not to spray an it ain't worth finding out.
LOL, where exactly can you not spray on your bike? You do know they are all-weather, right? When riding there is a chance you may get rained on, you understand this, right? I have rode through monsoon-like downpours on my bike and have never, ever had a problem so I am not sure what places you think you shouldn't spray?
