I have a "strong running" 80in EVO and I guarantee you that a 2017 107 Streetglide
will walk all over it. Suggest you ride one before you comment.

Yeah I'll say the stock 107 in the new ones would out pull my shovel and it's embarrassed a lot of 103 & 107 twinkie owners.

The new engine delivers the power differently than the twin cam and the increase is just a little on paper, by feel it is substantially different and much much better.

The CVO has 114". The regular version has 107"

Demo'd the CVO 114 Street Glide today...that motor is a beast...

BTW...I also rode a 107 Road Glide and hated the bike. Front end felt like a marshmallow...big, boaty and not that comfortable ergonomics...and I'm not a tall guy. Good power on the 107 though...but almost anything is better than my little 96...

The second reason is that HD makes a huge amount of $$ selling aftermarket upgrades that are added to the already hefty price at the time of build or sale. The sales people are skillful in convincing a buyer 1. that the bike they are buying is the best bike on the planet, and then immediately they are able to 2. convince the buyer that buy spending an additional ton of money, it will really "wake up" the bike.
Not any more.

Max Power EC 132 Hp (98.5 kW) @ 8,900 rpm
Max Torque EC 88 lb-ft (120 Nm) @ 6450 rpm

For those of you that like numbers, above are the numbers for a Triumph Trophy, 1215cc touring bike. And it is 650lbs.

LOL! I hear ya bro, my 2010 StreetGlide with Stage 1 with the 96in now feels like a moped after rompin' that 2017 SG with a 107. Oh well, I need to slow down anyway....

I went to the dealer yesterday to check out a new RGS, and I'm like you...didn't like the feel. Felt way too cramped, and wasn't feelin' the bend on the bars. I was fully prepared to trade the SG on it, but at the end of the day I didn't like it enough to justify the cost. Was it a better bike than my old SG? Yeah. Was it $12,000-13,000 better? Not a chance.

Liked the motor, but it really didn't feel that much stronger than my 103 Stage 1. I'm sure it was faster, but it sure wasn't night and day. I guess I just expected more. If I needed a new bike, I'd be thrilled with an M8, but I don't need a new bike...

Max Power EC 148 Hp (109 kW) @ 5,750 rpm
Max Torque EC 163 Ft-lbs (221 Nm) @ 2,750 rpm

Maybe the Tq numbers were not up to snuff for some of you on the Triumph Trophy touring bike. Want to talk about numbers? Might want to avoid any boasting around a Triumph Rocket 3 owner (see above). If anyone buys a new HD because of numbers, they should put down their glass of Kool-Aide.

Yup isn't about numbers on a paper it's about what my *** tells me and Mr *** says I gotta have a new Road King the test I took convinced me those engines want to run and run hard.
