I've got about 15 tattoos. Didn't get any until after I retired. Make sure you really want them. Do a lot of research and look at a lot of tattoo artist's books to check out their work. Also ask around. 20 years ago a guy who did tattoos for a living probably knew what he was doing. Today, there is a shop on every other block. Also, don't go on the cheap. You'll be looking at this for the rest of your life....a few extra bucks can make a big difference. Don't use the youngest guy in the shop. Get the owner to do it. Also, lettering is a specialty. Lots of guys are good artists, but lettering takes a special touch. Once I get an idea for a tattoo I wait about 6 months checking a lot of other tattoos out to make sure it's really what I want (basically same advice for getting married). I have changed my mind a couple of times (both tattoos and marriage).

If you get one, it's nice to have someone you know that can recommend them and their work. Not all tattoo artists are worth what they charge for their work.
If you took the time to look closer, you will see that most of the pictures are from the same person's tattoo - i.e. 1 person is shown 10 times, not 10 people with the same tattoo.
I ride a black 2013 HD Super Glide that, to me, epitomizes HD.
If you need opinions on something as personal as a tattoo you don't need one. Do you really need validation from bunch of strangers on the Internet? Grow up or grow a pair and be your own man.
Many good suggestions above.
WHY? In order for it to work , it may need to be large.
I have many, each with deep meaning. I will be getting another this week, for the birth of another granddaughter. I think my sons are being prolific, just to see my (family) arm become a full sleeve.
Choose your placement carefully, in today's world everyone is not comfortable ink.
Take time, get many ideas and sketches, and the one that is right will choose you.
Cliche, but true, GOOD Tattoos aren't cheap and cheap Tattoos aren't good/
