Default Front brake lever

In order to make my brake light come on it takes more than moderate pressure on the front brake lever. Is their an adjustment for this. Thanks. Bike is a 04 deuce

When was the last time you changed your brake fluid?

There is no adjustment, it's the tell tale sign that the front brake master cylinder needs service. The shaft that butts up to the brake lever gets corroded and doesn't release fully.
EDIT: Disregard my input, read your post wrong, not enough coffee, whatever. My input was in reference to a brake light staying on.

You did not mention anything about how you brakes are performing, from your post I assume you brakes are functioning as they always have with the exception of your brake light not activating unless you apply more pressure.

If that is the case it is likely related to the brake light switch in switch housing on the right side of your bars. The switch that activates the brake light is basically like a plunger that get pushed in to activate the lights when you squeeze the brake.

The brake light switch in the above diagram is #11 there is also a small clip #5 that is wedged between the switch and the housing which keeps the switch protruding out of the housing far enough to make contact with the lever. That switch and/or clip would be where I looked first. Is the switch functioning properly, is the clip keeping it in place so that it makes contact with the lever?

The switch and light are activated when the lever is queezed RELEASING pressure on the switch. If your lever is not traveling far enough AWAY from the switch, you need to find out why.

It's recommended to change your brake fluid every 2 years. You may want to do that regardless if that is your problem.
