Just thinking out loud. Is there such a thing as a Florida winter douldrums thread? Seems to me, now that our best riding season is upon us, most of us will be out and about instead of hiding in air conditioned comfort?
Well - here goes -
The onset of winter is taking place here in south Florida. The other day I actually had to put a jacket on! Of course that was early morning. By 10 I was back in the wind in short sleeves.
The other night I opted for my 3/4 helmet with intercom so that my wife and I could talk to each other. Upon reaching our destination I was wishing that I had brought along my 1/2 helmet (I actually cracked a sweat). I guess I'll have to pack along both helmets for the season. Tourpaks are great for this!
I apologize in advance for those of us who - well, what ever! I guess I should have approached this subject with more empathy for the less fortunate.
Yup. Unfortunately I only get 2 weeks a year to ride the Daytona/Ormond/Flager area. I'm retired but my wife isn't. One of these years we'd like to at least do a couple of months down there.
