Welcome to the forum from Central Washington. Sedona was a great place to visit in the 50s when in college at ASC. I understand it has kind of gone down hill since with a new breed. But to each his own, I guess. We had some great parties at Red Rock Crossing and Slide Rocks.

Arizona has so much to offer to the motorycle rider. One of the main reasons I moved out here. Sedona is beautiful. And many other great riding areas in the Verde Valley, White mountains, high desert, too many to list.
Incrediable vistas, mountain passes, and so much diverse landscape. You're riding in the Sonoran desert and it's 98 degrees 8% humidity, saguaro cactus around everywhere and in an hour, you're nestled in pine trees and lake beds and it's 72 degrees.
Well, I live in the Verde Valley, so any info you want, let me know and I will try to answer.
As ar as camping, what are you looking for? There are campgrounds galore. Also you can pretty much pitch a tent anywhere in the dessert or the mountains. No campfires or chacoal BBQs right now though.
They have turned pretty uch all of the red rocks into state park now, so you have to get what is called a Red Rock pass to do much goofing off around Sedona.
Any info I can give ya, Ill try to help.
Sorry I didn't read through all of the Post here because I'm in a hurry right now but I've been to this place about six times already and if I get to go back to AZ again, other than the Grand Canyon, this is where I'm going to spend at least 3 days of my trip.
Don't know about the camping, but Sedona is one of the prettiest places I've ever seen.We went through there a couple years ago with no plans to stop, but ended up staying for 3 days.
