Default Thinking About A Lift Table

I've been looking at a Titan 1500XLT, does anyone have experience with one?

What do you have?
Pros? Cons?
Would you buy something different next time?

I was just watching a video from Law Abbiding Biker. Looks like a nice lift, the one in the video was a 1000 lbs lift. The nice thing he said about the 1500 is you could cut out the concrete to make it flush and it's max height is greater than the 1000 lbs.

Recently bought a Titan 1000D. Came with wheel vise (most brands do), drop in roller plate and ramp extender. Best price was from Solution Dynamics. https://www.lift-tables.net/titan/1000d.php
Admittedly I haven't used it much yet. But I bolted a Harbor Freight wheel chock on front instead of using the included wheel vise. Much safer when working alone. Rode it on, got off bike and then stepped on the pedal to lift it. No problems picking up my Road King. As it turned out, I was glad that the ramp extender was included. The standard ramp was a touch too steep. The RK frame would drag as the bike broke over the crest where the ramp meets the table.
I mistakenly thought that the Titan would be as wide as my old Harbor Freight table. It's not and I couldn't touch my feet to the edges of the table while seated on the bike like I could with the HF. I went to order side extensions after the fact. Shipping was as much as the extensions themselves, so I made my own. Solution Dynamics advised me to order the side extensions when I ordered the table if I was going to need them due to truck freight pricing. I didn't heed their advice, but I came up with a workable solution so it turned out well.

I have a procycle which is almost identical to the titan

If you plan to ride bikes on and off solo get the side extensions when you buy the lift, truck freight charges for the extensions alone are as much as the lift and extensions at the same time.

Without the side extensions it's too narrow to be a one man operation, you need to roll the bike on by hand and have someone to clamp the wheel down. Unless your legs are abnormally long.

I have one and I sure do like it, glad I have it. Like 2goldens said, I don't much like the front wheel vice and also planning on changing that.

I looked at the Titan, same place sold Handy. After looking at both there was no decision, the Handy was better built by far. Not knocking the Titan that's what I had planned to buy but side by side did it for me. Yep Handy cost more but USA made so I felt good all the way around. And because I took it with me no shipping. By the way I got the Handy B.O.B. 1500 with sides ,drop out and very well built vise. Ride up no problems with my SGS. It is a pneumatic lift. And I did compare the Titan 1500 to the Handy 1500.

I have the Titan XL 1500 and I love it. Don't get the black one. You can't see fluid spills and you can't find any parts or tools you lay on it. It is the only one I have ever owned so I really cannot compare it to anything else. It came with the vice chock but that has worked for me. It has the side extensions but I seldom use them since my BIL sold his trike. I just push bikes on it but if you ride them on you will need the sides on or something set next to it for your feet or bad things will happen. Works great for the riding mower also with the sides on. The only regret is I bought mine just before the electric one came out so I have to fire up the compressor. Sometimes I get ambitious and get a leg workout with the foot pump. 325 pumps to the top lock. Whew.

I purchased mine this summer and have to say it's really nice. And a great price when I purchased mine. They run specials and I watched for the deal and lucked out. With the holidays here not so sure the deal is there. You may want to wait until the dead of winter.

I was showing my friend at work the Titan and he brought up an interesting point. Are the ramps removable, if not do you find yourself tripping over them when working around the rear of the bike?
