Backrest install
Hey everyone, this is my first post here.
I want to install the Kuryakyn 1661 backrest on my '07 sportster custom. Kuryakyn does not make a mounting bracket for the sportster, nor will they give the dimensions for any bracket they make so I get the closest match and go from there.
This bracket looks close, I am not against modifying the bracket if it is close. I'm told this fits 97-08 Electro glides, Road Kings, Road glide and Street glide.
My question is, does anyone have the distance between these holes on the fender strut?
There is a straight version of this bracket that I'm told will fit an '04 Heritage softail. Are the holes the same distance on the softail. My sportster is 7 1/2"
