Is there one of the campgrounds that has a large group style co-ed style showers? Some guy was feeding us a story about that a couple years ago ...

I agree 100%. 1/2 the people, rooms are cheaper and no traffic to deal with. The only you miss is the bands at the Chip.

The pay showers are where it's at if you're camping at the Chip. Clean, hot, and refreshing.
After thinking on it, I'm going to go the private John route at the chip. With the tickets at 200 now it will be worth it if they get some good bands. Did Glencoe last year and enjoyed it but want to try the Chip this year. Thanks for the input.

There's a way better plan...there is a gorgeous new Holiday Inn in Deadwood. Stay there. Indoor parking, casino, awesome rooms, bars and 12 miles from sturgis

The only issue with this plan is that the week after the rally is the Central States Fair and all the hotel rooms are booked for cowboys.

I think you're gonna be happy with this decision!

If you enjoy the party atmosphere, it's the perfect spot. If you need to sleep at sundown and sleep in a queen bed, that's not gonna work for you! LMAO!

And, I'll be right over there. First three rounds are on me!
