You got it, my friend I've never heard this bike spin up so fast, that GYZ20HL and those Terry Components battery cables are must haves
The first time I started her after installing the battery cables and the Yuasa I thought I'd done something wrong for an instant; it never sounded like that when I hit the start button!
No kidding!!! My bike has never started the way it does now with this battery. My dad who is total "old school" was also surprised and impressed when we did the comparison between the two batteries. He is also going to switch over to Yuasa for his Road King. Can't wait to hear that one crank lol.
The auxiliary that goes under the seat will feed off the negative battery side instead of the transmission side but it won't make any difference at all; you will need to crimp on a loop connector for the auxiliary but these 4 gauge battery cables do seem to lower the voltage drop on startup even further
P.s. get yourself one of those battery jumper packs. Those things are amazing. As long as the battery isn't internally shorted and has enough charge to make the starter click they work. I've started a couple of bikes and V6 mustang with my lightning pack. Almost managed to start a 5.4 ford but just not big enough.
Im also popular with my friends whose phone batteries die they always borrow my jumper pack.
There is a difference Yuasa GYZ series; the highest rated AGM battery for our HD's. The GYZ20HL in my Wide Glide was fresh in the pipeline and is now rated at 320 CCA and 20Ah.
What he said. ^^^ I have the same battery on my '08 Low Rider as well as on my Softail. Going on 6 years on the Low Rider and 3 years on my Softail and no issues with either....both still crank up strong. All my bikes are on a battery tender while they're not being ridden. Once I pull them in the garage I hook them up.
Got the Yusa today. 320CCA. Nice deal at 86 and change. It was over boxed but they should have put more packing in the larger box as it was sliding around. It is in 1 piece
I won't get to try it for a while as I'm waiting for one of my older batteries to bite the dust.
