I was preparing to install a brand new set of StreetSlammer Bars on my Night Train and I was doing some research on the topic of handlebar removal/installation.
I PM'ed three members who had posted about their experience in the past and I gave then a rundown of what I was preparing to do. Each member responded to my PM with some words of encouragement and each member gave me their telephone numbers and told me to give them a call if I ran into trouble.
Like I said, I'm impressed!
I spent three hours on the "destruction" and three hours on the "re-construction".
The job was a piece of cake especially knowing that I had some forum members waiting to offer help if I needed it.
As far as I'm concerned, it's always a great place to ask questions and get answers from someone else who's done the same thing, or being able to help someone out with their mod question.
I just stumbled across this forum a few days ago and I wish I would have found it sooner. Wonderful people and a great place to learn Harley everything. BTW your bike looks razor sharp!
Looks good Spyder-for some reason I think they look better on your Train than they would on mine---something about your paint scheme works especially well with the Street Slammers-and they seem tobalance the overall look out nicely.
After you get some miles on 'em,I'd like to hear your opinion on how the Slammers function for you as far as handling, comfort and all that stuff....
