question. Had the clutch lock nut come loose. Readjustmented the clutch and cable. Road about 50 miles. Lost power to the wheel. Belt is good motor is fine. No noise or chatter. Took derby and inspection cover and primary chain is intact. Looking for suggestions for where to look next. Thinking behind clutch cable housing. But am confused because I had clutch and was riding with no problems or noises. Open to comments. Please and thanks.

Loosen clutch cable, squeeze clutch lever several times make sure there's positive contact to pushrod and spring. Re adjust adusting hex screw for positive contact with rod then back off 1/2 turn, tighten jam nut, adjust cable slack.

I can see the clutch engaging and disengage. Is it possible that I had over tighten and glazed the clutch and with having over 70000 on original plates just finally wore the the plates out that fast ?
