It's all about the prep work. Taping is very important. Just take your time & don't rush to finish the job. You're taking on a big job. Actually, I think your bike looks great. But it's 'Your' bike & not mine. Good luck & post some pics when you get it finished.

I dumped the snow belt 29 years ago and haven't looked back, that last snow storm I had to kick out a window screen to dig out my front door and then 2 cars that had drifted to were you couldn't see them was the last straw.

Far as wrinkle painting the engine done a lot of that back in the day even wrinkled a whole on a chopper once. Best way I've found working with that stuff is preheat the parts to wear it's uncomfortable to touch them and do it in 2 coats with a few minutes between. Full engines I'd tent in aluminum foil with an electric heater as a heat source. Helps if you disconnect the tilt switch in the heater so you can lay it down or at odd angles.

That's too new a heater (government intervention). Where's your Old School one?

It's gotta be 30 plus years old as it is I found it in a curb junk pile way back when. Real old school was using the cast iron hibachi & charcoal but that kinda stunk up the garage a bit
