OK......I'm just going to come out and say it.....Everyone is beating around the bush!

With all due respect....If you repeatedly drop your bike while stopping...then you have no business being on a bike, period! Even if there is something wrong with the bike (which I doubt) you should be able to stop it from falling. You need to develop some basic riding skills before you seriously hurt yourself or some poor slob that that stops to help you. If you cannot do that, then you should take what is left of that Ultra that has been repeatedly dropped and sell it to someone who can handle it and treat it with respect.

Sorry it sounds so blunt....But I just told you the truth. I doubt there is anyone on the forum who disagrees with me...I believe the other members are just being kind.

Good luck!

Oh yeah, that's right, I almost forgot; we're the kind bunch.Hey, Denim, didn't you just drop your bike into an SUV or sumthin' ?
Ha Ha...I was hit! I know you are joking but on a more serious note.....if you are not all being kind....then someone explain why I am the only one to tell the guy to stop riding!

OK, Denim maybe we are being too kind but maybe it is just a simple problem of panicking on the front brake or not holding the bike vertical. Those things can be cured with education and experience. Maybe he does not have to sell his bike.

Wait a minute. You might be in the market for another bike, no? You sneaky devil.

also remember at slow speeds, especially if you have the wheel turned, and you hit the front brake, you are definately going down! even quicker if you have a passenger. Practice using the rear brake more at slow speeds. don't ask me how I know!!

ME too!!!

LOL--I told the guy to get some training to correct it and if he can't then sell it. Keep in mind that he couldn't even pass a road test on the bike!! Think about what he is telling us here!!....He is saying that he comes to a stop at a light and lets the bike fall over! To tell you the truth, it is a little hard to believe...Perhaps our chains are being pulled!!??[sm=confused06.gif]

Joking aside .... if you have too much weight in the left bag, it will lean that way coming to a stop.

I think I've dropped my bike more to the right than the left. I'm not sure about that.

In all seriousness, You didn't say how long you have been riding or if you have what you rode before. Motorcycle riding like any sport isn't for every one. Some people would be better off tring something else. Maybe you should think about it before you hust yourself
