I'm 56, mostly I ride to work by myself, or with the wife on back and or with my 21yo son on his 1000cc metric. We do lunch and dinner rides, sight seeing, or hit the twisties, and I try to keep up with the kid.
He laughs, and says who lit the fire under your ***! I let him win all the time. yuk-yuk-yuk.

Little bit of back ground. Im 23 years old. (24 in August), a diesel tech for Dr. Pepper. I went to school and as a graduation gift because of how much more I make now because of going to school my wife surprised me with a 2014 Heritage ( as shown below ). my first bike EVER. never rode before. ive grown up around bikes my whole life. just never got on one. My dad rides , my uncle rides , countless family friends ride, my father in law rides , my wifes uncle rides . so we decided we were going to get a bike and my wife surprised me with it. so I learned to ride. cam very natural for me and easy. put 4K miles on it in a matter of 4 months and I love the damn thing.
issue im having is people to ride with! I love my family and my wifes family and we all ride from time to time but sometimes I just wanna ride with people my age ya know? I make more than average for my age and I have a way higher maturity level than most kids my age. it seems like everyone I know who rides a Harley is older than me. I wanted to take a poll and see if theres anyone near my age group that is on a HD cause the few people I do know my age that ride are on GSXRs and Honda Groms.....
Don't sell us old guys short. I'm 59, for a couple more months but I remember when I was 23 like it was yesterday. I can't claim I was as mature as you at that age, I guess I was a slower learner than you. You and I have something in common though,we've both been 23, we like Harleys and we like to ride. So the next time all you can find is an oldster like me to ride with, go for it. We might learn something from each other.
