Another vote for Competition Accessories Slider Jeans - I'm female and love them. They are Kevlar lined with knee protection. The men's sliders have more designs and options.

I wear regular jeans and then some textile/mesh pants over them, which have some CD armor pieces. Not the greatest looking, but pretty easy to remove if I'm going to ride somewhere and then walk around for a bit.

I recently purchased the Iron Workers brand riding jeans from cycle gear. They have Kevlar lining and knee protectors.

I ordered a waist size smaller from Revzilla. Get the longer inseam version if you're tall. Walking around they'll bunch up at the ankle, but should fit right on the bike.
Those are one of the top jeans I'm considering. Just wanna make sure because they're pretty expensive.

I also wear diamond gusset riding jeans with Kevlar in the seat and knees really like them also recently purchased and started wearing Bonn armor pants under them so for in 80 degree weather they are breath able and comfortable

Yeah, they're not cheap, and other pants might fit the bill. They're Kevlar lined front and back, and rather than just denim, they're a denim/Cordura mix.

At the risk of looking creepy exposing the inside of my pants to complete strangers, here's what they look like. No external seams for the Kevlar or protectors:

Inside front. The yellow stuff is Kevlar. The knee protectors are held in place by Velcro and are adjustable:

Inside back. The hip and tailbone protectors are non-adjustable:

Again, not cheap and they do run a bit baggy for the skinny guys.

I'll second the Bohn Armor. https://www.bohn-armor-pants.com

Probably better protection, and you can wear them under anything you want. I wear mine under a variety of jeans, and cargo pants. Combining them with kevlar or fire hose type pants would probably be the best protection short of racing pants.

I will advise you that the Diamond Gusset jeans have a panel sewn into the crotch area that makes them even more comfortable then the Wrangler U cut jeans, Wrangler is the only jean I ride in. The DG jeans are likely less money then most. They have a factory/outlet store in Blue Ridge, Ga. North Georgia location would make a nice 3 day weekend ride from where you are.
Also check out Dennis Kirk website, they will have something and free exchanges on clothing, no freight.

These are the motor pants I use at work. While they're more of a BDU pant, rather than a denim jean, they are extremely comfortable and are Kevlar lined.

I liked them so much I bought a couple pairs in other colors for my personal use!
